Custom Window Decals

Custom vinyl window decals are a popular type of sticker. Window decals are typically made of vinyl and are designed to fit windows. They are used to decorate windows and are a great way to add some color and personality to your home. Vinyl decals are a great choice if you need a quick fix for your window. They are durable, long-lasting, and come in many different styles. Some of these include:

• Holiday-themed window decals

• Sports-themed window decals (NFL, MLB, NBA)

• School-themed window decals(school colors, school mascot, etc.)

• Corporate-themed window decals like “Happy Birthday” or “Thank You”

• Custom window decals

When choosing a style for your window decal, consider how much space there is on the entire window. This will help determine whether you should choose a smaller or larger decal. For example, if there is a lot of room on the window, then you might choose a smaller decal. However, if it is very limited, then you might opt for a larger decal.

The best part about using an opaque window decal is that they are easy to apply. You simply peel off the backing paper and stick them directly onto the glass. There are no messy paints or glues involved.

Decals are a great option for people who want to create a personalized touch without spending too much time. It is important to note that decals do not last forever. They can easily fade over time. To prevent this from happening, keep them away from direct sunlight. Also, try to avoid touching them when they are wet.

Decals are a great way to bring some fun into your home. If you have kids, they will love having their own personal decals. Kids love getting creative with their decorations. By giving them their own personalized decals, you are encouraging creativity and imagination.

Custom decals are a great solution to turn your windows into advertising space. Put them up as temporary signage. Rather than banners that need to be hung or supported by stakes, Custom decals stick to any flat surface. They are also designed with a silver backing that blocks out any underlying images, so they are a great idea for updating your brand, logo, or name, and you can use them temporarily over your permanent signage. If you are looking for more of a professional appearance consider looking into our Vinyl Lettering product, this product includes a wide variety of colors ane more.

Personalized Window Decals for storefront windows are a great way to promote sales, events, etc. They are usually printed on an opaque smooth surface vinyl or perforated vinyl. The most common application is on the front of retail stores. These often feature large bold logos, but can also be more subtle and minimalist. Some examples include:

Adhesive Decal vs Static Cling

Adhesive Decals are generally used for outdoor applications like windows, doors, signs, etc... Because they adhere to a surface, they stay put even when moved. They are much easier to apply and remove than static clings.

Static Clings are generally used for windows because they are static, and they are very easy to apply. However, if you move around a lot, they may come off. Custom window clings are designed to cling by using static and prints in full color on one side. It is designed for display on window glass, though you can also use it on other smooth surfaces. An opaque window decal can be ordered in custom sizes.

Care

Before applying, avoid exposing your decal for an extended period of time to dampness or water. Peel your opaque window decal away from the glass if you need to remove it, and then use window cleaner and a straight edge to scrape off any remaining glue. After applying your decal, you may wash the window where it is located, but you must not power wash it. We suggest wiping the decal with a moist, non-abrasive cloth when cleaning it.

No. The decals cannot be removed without damaging the product. If you need to change the location of the decal. They have a strong adhesive back.

In general, what else should I know about decals?

Decals are an excellent choice for any business that needs to make a quick change. They're easy to install if they are small. On large decals, we suggest getting a professional installer.

What Are the Best Window Decors for Business?

Make the most of that space and promote sales, special events, or business hours with custom window decals.

What is the best glass for windows?

We recommend using tempered safety glass. Tempered glass has been tested to withstand high impact forces, which makes it ideal for your home or office.

What material is your opaque decal made out of?

Our window decals are made from a 4M vinyl material that has a permanent adhesive.

What is the lifespan of your opaque window decals?

With proper care and placement, your decal can last up to five years. The circumstances in which the high end of the lifespan will be achieved will be when the decal is used in an interior setting and is properly installed and maintained. Exterior use that results in constant exposure to the elements and/or poor installation or maintenance can decrease the lifespan of the decal. Notwithstanding, exterior usage should still result in a decal that lasts 1-3 years.

Will the exposure to the sun or the elements ruin my decal?

As noted above the decal's lifespan will naturally be shortened when used for exterior use rather than interior use. While this is true we do print with UV ink that prevents scratching, abrasions and fading. Thus, assuming that the decal is installed properly your printed design should remain vibrant for several years with the decal firmly adhered to your window.

Can the decals be cut to shape?

Regardless of the end use of your decal, we can cut it to shape. We can do this in two different ways. The first is to cut it to the exact perimeter of your design. This shape option is known as "Custom" (previously known as, or sometimes referred to as contour cut). The second way is to cut it to shape but leave a small border around the entire edge of your sign. This is called "Custom with Border" (previously known as or sometimes referred to as halo cut). These two options are available for any window decal but should be used with discretion when complex designs are involved. For complex designs, we recommend a simple rectangle or square-shaped decal.

How small or big can my window decal be?

Your decal can not be smaller than 3”x3” nor bigger than 52”x1680”. So as long as you can keep one of your dimensions between 3” and 52” you can create a decal of virtually any size.

Will the decal damage or ruin my window?

The decal will not damage your window in any way. Even if the residual adhesive is left after removing the decal this can generally be removed with a cleaner or sharp edge. The only potential for damage is while using a sharp edge for installation or removal. Be careful not to scratch your window when doing either of these things.

Will the decal impact the transparency of my window/storefront?

Due to the opacity of this type of window decal, it will affect the transparency of your storefront or glass surface upon which it is placed (one-way visibility). Even unprinted decals will obscure the light and visibility offered through an uncovered window. Thus, for darker rooms or areas, or even those that must have transparency through the window(s), we recommend a clear or perforated window sign. As noted above more can be read about these types of decals on our window decals page. Alternatively, large opaque decals can obscure the visibility into a room in which some privacy is needed or wanted while still effectively using the window for messaging or otherwise.

Can I place my decal on the inside of my storefront/window and have it be visible to those outside?

Yes! This option is called inside glass and is made possible by a reverse print on opaque material. This option can be selected on our design tool under the “Print Surface” option.

How do I install my Window Decal?

Application Process:

1) Clean the glass application surface, make sure to wait until the application area drys off or use a window squeegee to remove excess water to ensure that no air bubbles occur later on.

2) After you have cleaned the window from any excess water remove the tape from the backside of the decal.

4) Place your decal onto the intended surface

5) Press Vinyl Down With a squeegee

6) Smooth Out the entire decal of any air bubbles with a squeegee

Can the decal be used only on a glass surface?

The decal will work on many other surfaces. In general, these surfaces would include any smooth and non-porous surface such as plastic, tile, smooth metal, and more. Avoid textured or porous surfaces such as unfinished concrete, stucco, brick, and more.
